The SMILO series of radio control devices is based on a system for sending a coded signal from a transmitter to a receiver. If this signal is recognised as valid, it activates the output relays. The SMILO system uses the “rolling code” transmission technique which makes the radio control device extremely safe. This method ensures that the recognition code is different for each transmitter and that it changes every time it is used.
In order to work, your remote must be programmed.
You can either programme your remote using another remote that has already been programmed, or from the radio receiver.
We advise you to use a watch to help you programme your remote.
Programming using a remote that has already been programmed
– Take a remote that has already been programmed, and your new remote.
– Stand near the installation that uses the remote (within the field of the receiver).
– Take your new remote and hold down one of the buttons for at least 5 seconds.
– Take the remote that has already been programmed and press one of the buttons 3 times: pressing each button for one second each time, and waiting one second between each time you press the button.
– Press one of the buttons on your new remote: the remote is then programmed.
– Verify that your new remote is working correctly.
If your new remote does not work, start again and follow the instructions carefully.
Programming using a receiver
– Open the receiver box.
– Hold the button on the receiver down for at least 3 seconds, as in the drawing below.
– When the light switches on, release the button.
– In the next 10 seconds, press one of the buttons on the new remote for at least 2 seconds.
– The light on the receiver will flash 3 times: the remote is programmed.
– Verify that your new remote is working correctly.
